Ghee Katla
Ingredients:
1. Katla pieces: 6 to 8 pcs
2. Onion- chopped 4pcs
3. Ghee- 150 to 200gms
4. Green chillies- chopped 4 to 5 pcs
5. Ginger- chopped 2tbsp
6. Raisins- 10 to 12 pcs
7. Green cardamom- 2 to 3 pcs
8. Garam masala- 2tsp
9. Cinnamon- 2 pcs
10. Bayleaf-2pcs
11. Turmeric powder- as required
12. Salt and sugar- to taste.
Method:
Marinate the fish pieces with salt and turmeric powder, keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes. Fry the fish.
Heat mustard oil in a kadai ( wok/ deep pan) and put some ghee in this.
Add chopped onion, ginger, green chillies and garam masala to this. Temper it well.
Add water as required and place the fried fish pieces, bayleaf, raisins, salt and sugar.
Cover it with a lid and let it simmer.
Add ghee and garam masala on top of this.
Serve this with Jeera Rice.
