Banana Stem with Flat Rice
Ingredients-
1. Banana Stem ( Mocha)- 3 cups
2. Whole garam masala- for tempering
3. Bayleaf- 2
4. Mustard oil- 2 tbsp
5. Salt- to taste
6. Chilli powder- 1 tbsp
7. Coriander powder- 1 tbsp
8. Jeera powder- 1 tbsp
9. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
10. Ginger garlic paste- 2 tbsp
11. Sugar- to taste
12. Garam masala powder- 1 tbsp
13. Ghee- 1 tbsp
14. Coriander leaves and chopped green chillies
15. Flat rice ( chiwda) - 1 cup
Method-
1. First cut the banana stem and boil it with turmeric powder and salt as per requirement.
2. Heat mustard oil in a kadhai and put bayleaf, whole garam masala in it for tempering.
3. Add the boiled banana stem to this and add all the powder masala to it and mix well.
4. Add ginger garlic paste to this. Lastly add salt & sugar to this.
5. Add ghee, garam masala powder, chopped coriander leaves and green chillies to this.
6. Add flat rice or chiwda to this mixture and stir well.
Serve this with steamed rice.
